Landon Jakob
My name is Landon Jakob and I am an 18 year old member of the US Ski Mountaineering Team. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. When I’m not skiing, I enjoy climbing, trail running, mountain biking, and challenging myself academically. I will be attending the University of Utah to study Business starting in the Fall of 2025. I love SkiMo because it allows me to push myself to the limit in beautiful places all around the world. When I’m not racing in SkiMo World Cups, I enjoy climbing and skiing technical mountaineering routes such as the Grand Teton.

Because it’s my passion, and I love every second of it.
What is your favorite place on Earth?
The Wasatch Mountain Range in Utah.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Going from not knowing what skimo was to placing third in a Youth World Cup Skimo race all in a single season in 2022/23, and continuing to see significant growth in my abilities in the sport every season.
What is your biggest fear?
Being unable to do what I love: be outside, moving my body.
