WHAT MODELS ARE WE ACCEPTING?

We’re accepting all models of glasses. Regardless of brand, condition, age, or where you bought them. We want your sunglasses to get them recycled.

You can return up to 3 pairs for recycling and get one $50 credit. Discount is not cumulative, limit one credit per household*

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Stop at our NYC boutique with an old pair of sunglasses and drop them off in the Zero Waste box. You will receive $50 off a new pair of Vuarnets and help support us in moving waste from a linear system to a circular one.

Not in NYC? Sent us a request to secondlife@vuarnet.us. We will be in touch with you so you can take part of our recycling drive and receive your $50 voucher to use online.*

WHERE ARE MY SUNGLASSES GOING?

Your glasses will be sent to our friends from Terra Cycle where they will be carefully sorted and recycled:

- The glasses will be crushed, melted down and used to make new glass products.

- The frames will be transformed into granules to enable the manufacture of new recycled products.

Have you ever thought about what happens to those sunglasses that get ditched because the lenses or frames are damaged? You toss them in the bin, never to be seen again, as they take their space in the pit of landfill that is steadily growing around the world. With millions of pairs of sunglasses sold each year, we all should be taking a stand against this disposable nature in the industry.

With our Second Life Program, an exclusive recycling program to help the environment, you can refresh your eyewear collection and do something good for the environment.

*A $50 voucher will be awarded for eyewear dropped off at our NYC boutique or mailed for recycling. Voucher can be used towards the purchase of any pair of sunglasses on a $180 minimum shopping cart. Voucher cannot be combined with other vouchers, coupons, sale, or other promotions. Voucher expires 30 days after it’s issue date. You can return up to 3 pairs for recycling and get $50 voucher.
